Praise Band

Are you gifted in leading music and worship? God brings many gifted musicians to our Worship and Praise Teams and Bands. Our regular instrumentation includes, keyboards, bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar and drum set. We vary from 3 – 8 vocalists and are always auditioning musicians to serve. This ensemble is a fast paced environment requiring a musician capable of learning songs on the fly. Each week includes preparation of 6 – 13 songs as well as coordination and support with the choir and other special ensembles. An understanding and ability to read chord charts is necessary for all instrumentalists (except drummers). Additional instrumentation is added as available and appropriate. We are currently expanding into more horn and string opportunities. Interested musicians can sit in on a rehearsal or two before auditioning.

Scheduling is done via our Worshpplanning website at least 6 weeks in advance. Not all musicians play or sing every week, but they must be committed to diligently learning the music and providing a substitute to cover their part when they have a scheduling conflict. Rehearsals are Wednesdays in the Worship Center from 5:00 – 5:30 band only, 5:30 – 7:30 vocals and band and then read through with the choir.

Like all music ministries at PEPC this group is often integrated into other ministry opportunities and may be asked to accompany or feature our other ensembles.
