    History and Mission

Home – Welcome! – History and Mission History of PEPC

The idea of PEPC began in 1984 when a group of people from around the Parker area joined together to start what would later become Parker Evangelical Presbyterian church.  It began meeting in Parker Vista Middle School, which is now Sierra Middle School.

In 1985, the church trusted God for the future of by purchasing 55 acres of property on East Parker Road.  Erik Ohman was called in 1988 to serve as PEPC's pastor.  Over the next few years, there were many changes including joining the EPC denomination, addition of others to staff, and moving into a new building which included a Sanctuary and classrooms.  In 2004, work began on the north and west additions and in September of 2005, PEPC moved into a new Worship Center, lobby, classrooms and offices.
